i heart blik

i'm going to assume you've all heard of blik (and if you haven't, you seriously need to get over to their website and check them out right now).  i've been obsessed with their "wall graphics for the commitment phobic" for years, and their designs just keep getting better.  here are some of my latest favorites...

i used these flock decals in my bedroom when i lived in brooklyn... my red decals made the bubblegum pink walls look a lot cooler.

these classic chair back decals are genius. plus, two of them are shown on my dining room chairs! i must have them.

...and i'm pretty sure these lacy sunday decals were designed specifically with me in mind.  it's love.

shoes as art

i've been perusing spring 2010 runway show photos for a couple weeks now, and i've been really inspired by everything.  it seems like this season designers have been paying a little extra attention to what i consider one of the most important elements of any outfit... the shoes!  the latest trend is definitely form over function... shoes as art.

here are some of my favorites... i probably won't be wearing any of these any time soon, but they sure are lovely to look at!

a slice of life in paris

i'm really liking these 60-second videos of paris that nichole of littlebrownpen has been posting on her blog lately as a part of a series called "one place, one time."  

this one was taken on rue des rosiers, a street in the marais frequented by my husband and i on our recent trip.  it's kind of neat to see these little snippets of life as they happened... i almost feel like i'm back in paris!

summer love

don't get me wrong, i love fall.  every year the return of crisp, cool weather gets me excited about everything the season has to offer: the return of my beloved fall wardrobe, pumpkin picking, apple cider, watching the leaves change, and making big batches of soup at home, and two of my favorite holidays.

...but somehow this photo by kylie nixon has me feeling nostalgic for summer already!
