once thought of as a hardcore fashion no-no, socks with sandals are starting to appear on stylish bloggers and street-chic girls everywhere! over the past few seasons, i've fallen hard for the sweet, girly-girl look of ankle socks paired with strappy wedges or platforms.
what's your take... can a normal girl wear this combo, or do you have to be a leggy, super tall model-type to pull it off? should i try it out myself or leave it to the pros?

this is why i can't keep up with fashion.
even bedrock fashion rules like no socks with sandals can go out the window if someone is cool enough.
i think this rule is still in effect for guys though...
I'm a big proponent of wearing whatever you want, so I say go for it. I have to admit, I think this look is much cuter than the ankle socks with stilettos that was popular a couple years ago...that always looked kinda wrong to me. But sandals seem more appropriate and girly (not so sexy), so it fits better somehow.
I love it! I would love to try but not so sure I could pull it off. What I like about it is that its okay if your toenails aren't perfectly polished - just pull on the socks and go :)
i love it! i tried it once, i ought to try it again. i think i need to buy some socks with a little frill on them to make the look just right :)
I don't know if I could be so bold.
i think it depends on the style/vibe of the person wearing it. i honestly cannot pull this one off!
I am obsessed with this style! It makes me feel like I'm reverting back to being a little kid.. as I got older I tried to hide my socks as much as possible but now I wanna show them off as much as possible!
LOL! Your photos actually look really good. I have been around guys that wear the old worn out white socks up to their knees and sandals - BAAAAAAAAAAARF! I've also seen Fergie on the worse dressed list many times for doing an Oh So Tacky job of trying to pull off the look. I say take pictures so you can take a step back and judge yourself and if you think you look good, DO IT!
Cute shoes...I don't know if I can walk in them, but they are lovely. --Wyetha
