Lladro sure has stepped it up in the past few years! The first time I had heard of it, I was on my way to spend a summer in Spain, and my best friend's mother asked me to get one for her there (yeah, like it's fun to bring china home in your luggage after 2 months). I got her some cheesy figurine of a girl holding a goose. This is a massive improvement :)
